About The Founder

Hi, I’m Kylie.

Founder · Portland born & raised · St. Johns local

I’ve spent nearly seven years working in the wedding industry, across venue management, catering sales, luxury coordination, and large-scale event production. I know how venues operate, how vendors think, and how to make a wedding day feel completely effortless for the people getting married.

Hiring a planner should reduce the decisions you’re making, not just help you manage them.

Most planning models give you three tiers: day-of, partial planning, full-service. They all manage your decision-making, but none of them focus on reducing the number of decisions you have to make. Higher Love goes one step further. A tried and true formula with pre-curated options at every turn, so the choices you face are narrow, clear, and manageable.

Hire love. Higher love.
How it works

The big decisions made simple, one step at a time.

No research. No rabbit holes. No decision fatigue. Just a clear sequence of simple choices, and someone ready to guide you through each one.

01

Pick your package

Choose your celebration type, guest count, and tablescape collection. A $1,500 deposit reserves your planning package at booking.

02

Pick your venue

Once your package is confirmed, I’ll present up to three venue options available for your desired wedding date, each ranked with honest pros and cons.

03

Build your team

A curated and ranked shortlist of up to three vendors per category, catering, photography, florals, music, and more, matched to your vision and budget.

And then

I take it from there.

Contracts, logistics, timeline, and day-of command.
You show up and enjoy your wedding.

My commitments

The ground rules.

Intentional

calendar. I limit bookings so every wedding gets my full focus, from the first decision to the last dance.

3+

months’ notice required. The minimum planning lead time for a quality wedding day.

Zero

vendor kickbacks. Every recommendation is made for you, not for me

My pricing is published. No inquiry required.

Higher Love is not a bespoke planning agency. I use a tried and true formula with published pricing and pre-curated options at every turn, because the couples who work with me would rather not spend a year buried in the planning. Decision fatigue is real. The mental load is real. My job is to take as much off your plate as possible, keep you in the loop when it matters, and get you to the altar without the overwhelm. Minimal input. Maximum result.

Reviews

From the couples and venues who have worked with me.

★★★★★

“Neither of us were contacted by anyone once for clarification during the wedding. Kylie was running logistics and making sure everything was taken care of without us having to lift a thumb. We walked away thinking the gale force winds were a special treat — which never would have been the case had she not jumped into action in advance. She acts with professionalism, is great at her job, and is so much fun to work with. A triple threat.”

“We had less than 3 months to pull together a formal wedding. Kylie was able to make that happen. She put together schedules, planned layouts, and updated us regularly on progress. She was the first one on site, and we didn’t have to worry about anything after we left. If you are even considering a planner, give her a call.”

“She’s warm, professional, with an excellent eye for detail. She stepped in to coordinate a wedding I’d planned but couldn’t work — even on short notice and at a difficult venue, she really crushed it. The clients were so relieved and happy. I’d love to work with her again and highly recommend her to any nearlyweds planning their weddings.”

“Kylie is always a pleasure to work with. She’s organized, professional, and makes every event run smoothly. Our team loves when she’s at the venue — everything goes off without a hitch.”

Sustainability

Sustainability is part of the formula.

Your wedding should feel good. So should everything it leaves behind.

Rentals over disposables

Nothing single-use if I can help it.

Every tablescape collection is sourced through a rental partner. Linens, flatware, glassware, and centerpieces are returned, cleaned, and used again. No landfill contribution from your table settings.

Food waste

Leftovers go to people who need them.

Any food remaining at the end of the night is donated to St. Johns Village Transitional Housing Complex, right here in the neighborhood.

Florals

Your flowers have a life after the reception.

Floral arrangements are donated to Assumption Village Assisted Living in St. Johns after the wedding. A centerpiece that spent 6 hours on a reception table can spend another week brightening a room for someone who needs it.

Sourcing locally

Food and flowers, grown close to home.

I work with caterers who source ingredients locally and florists committed to locally grown flowers. If a bloom can be substituted for a locally grown alternative without compromising the look, I'll do it.

Ready when you are

Let’s plan your wedding.

Clear scope. Published pricing. A formula that works.

Before you reach out, the only things you need: a rough guest count, a general budget, and a sense of when you’d like to get married.
