I’m Kylie, founder of Higher Love Event Co. A native Oregonian, mom, wife, and passionate event specialist. I’ve spent nearly seven years working in the event industry, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
My experience in this industry has taken me through roles in venue sales, catering sales, luxury wedding coordination, and large-scale event production, including corporate events and galas, multi-day themed expos, cultural celebrations, and casino and hotel holiday installations.
Sub-coordinating for other planners across the PNW deepened my understanding of how different planning styles, systems, and workflows operate, and sharpened my own in the process. Working the vendor side of the table taught me how venues and caterers think, what matters to them, and how to communicate in a way that actually moves planning forward. The result is a well-rounded, experienced event professional with a deep understanding of the Portland wedding industry.
I’m highly detailed, deeply organized, with an eye for design. I’ve channeled all of that into a planning formula built on years of firsthand knowledge of the Portland wedding scene, one that streamlines the process, narrows the options, and makes every decision easier to make.
Hiring a planner should reduce the decisions you’re making, not just help you manage them.
I’m based in Portland, but I’ve had the privilege of coordinating weddings everywhere from the jungles of Tulum to the Utah desert. My favorite weddings are the ones I plan here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I’ve coordinated at more than 30 different venues across wine country, the Portland metro, and the Columbia River Gorge.
I’m proud to call the St. Johns neighborhood home, and I believe it’s one of Portland’s best kept secrets for beautiful, soulful weddings. The neighborhood has everything: Cathedral Park, the Willamette River, the iconic St. Johns Bridge, and a robust vendor scene made up of incredibly talented and passionate people. With the Bridge’s upcoming reopening and the forthcoming opportunity to reserve the Cathedral Park deck and staircase (tentatively reopening in 2027), St. Johns is primed to become the place to get married in the Portland metro, and I can’t wait to play a role in making that happen.
Wherever your wedding takes place, the goal is the same: a planning process without overwhelm, and a wedding day you get to fully enjoy. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because the right work was done long before the day arrived.
Hire love. Higher love.

I’ve worked at more than 30 venues across Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, and beyond. Familiar or brand new, every venue gets the same preparation: I learn the space thoroughly so your wedding day runs smoothly.
My pricing is published before you ever reach out, and the process is clear from day one. You always know exactly what you are getting, what it costs, and what happens next.
Planning a wedding should not mean a hundred open tabs and an inbox full of vendor quotes. I narrow the field, surface the best options, and make every choice feel manageable.
Nearly seven years in the industry, more than 30 venues across the Pacific Northwest, and time spent in every role from vendor to production to coordinator. That breadth is the difference between a planner who reacts and one who anticipates.
Not a day spent fielding questions or watching the clock. A day where you eat, laugh, cry, dance, and take it all in, while your family celebrates right alongside you. I take care of the details from start to finish, so no one you love has to.
